The University is currently taking precautions and making preparations in advance of the anticipated arrival of “Hurricane Sandy.” Impact to our region is currently projected to be most intense on Tuesday morning. Please review your Adelphi.edu email for an important announcement from the Department of Public Safety and be sure to update, if necessary, your contact information in the Adelphi Emergency Alert System (RAVE) found on eCampus.

In the event that there are any changes to normal campus operations, you will be notified through RAVE. Adelphi.edu will contain updates from the University regarding conditions and operations at the Garden City Campus and our Centers. We will also be using Facebook and Twitter to share information. In advance of the storm, please like Adelphi University (facebook.com/AdelphiU) on Facebook and follow @AdelphiU on Twitter.

Additionally, here are links to the NYS Office of Emergency Management http://www.dhses.ny.gov/oem/

for updated State response information; and a link to contact information for the County (and NYC) Emergency Management Offices http://www.dhses.ny.gov/oem/contact/#HQ

As of now, all operations are taking place as scheduled and planned, and the condition level is: Normal.

Working together as a community will ensure a safe environment for everyone at Adelphi University.

Please note that the Fall Open House scheduled for Sunday, October 28 will be held as planned.
