Adelphi University Remains Closed Until Monday, November 5.

Post date: Nov 1, 2012 4:26:07 PM

UPDATE: 12:30 p.m., 11/1/12

Adelphi University will remain closed through Sunday, November 4 2012. We will resume normal operations on Monday, November 5, 2012. While the Garden City campus is operational with power, food service, and all systems restored, due to the regional scope of the storm’s impact, we have decided to delay normal operations. Students may begin their planning to return to the residence halls on Sunday November 4.

While many within our community are getting back to normal, we understand hundreds of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni have been seriously affected. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

A critical message about academic programming will be forthcoming this afternoon including changes to the academic calendar.

In the event that we require additional school delays or closings, you will be notified through the Adelphi University Emergency Notifications System (RAVE) accessible through eCampus. We also recommend that you visit the Adelphi Website at www.adelphi.edu and (ecampus/services/ off campus housing) for updates and conditions related to the Garden City Campus and its Centers. We will also be using Facebook and Twitter to share information. In advance of the storm, please like Adelphi University (facebook.com/AdelphiU) on Facebook and follow @AdelphiU on Twitter.
